What began as a small tree service in 1935 has grown into a multi-division operation employing 200+ team members, operating one of the largest and most advanced equipment fleets in the region, and completing projects across multiple states.

Our History: Generations of Excellence
1935 — The Beginning: Homer Tree Service Founded
Homer Tree Service was founded by Joseph Reposh, a father of ten, operating a tree trimming and removal business from his home.
His work ethic, craftsmanship, and commitment to doing the job right laid the foundation for everything that followed.
1985 — Incorporation and Expansion: A New Generation
The business was purchased by Joseph Reposh (Father) from his son Ronald.
Homer Tree Service, Inc. was now officially incorporated in Illinois, setting the stage for future expansion.
This marked the beginning of structured growth, expanded services, and increased operational capacity.
1997 — Specialized Tree Care Division: Homer Tree Care Established
Homer Tree Care, Inc. was established as a dedicated division focused on residential and municipal tree care services, while Homer Tree Service continued to expand its large-scale land clearing operations.
2003 — Growth into Materials & Manufacturing: Homer Industries is Born
Homer Industries, LLC was formed, establishing the company as a leading Midwest supplier of mulch products, mulch grinding services, and custom mulch bagging operations, born from a commitment to sustainable reuse.
